 A collaborative event organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company and Artichoke.

The New Maker’s Conference will feature an impressive line-up of experienced furniture industry leaders, designers-makers and those who are just starting out. We’ll be focusing on how new enterprises start and grow, exploring routes from training into business, and how to achieve results with effective marketing, exhibiting, and retailing. There will be debate about gender imbalance in the furniture industry and how to address it, the effects of climate change and issues around sustainability. Stories will be shared and lessons learned. There will be lots of practical advice for new makers on how to survive the first five years.
