About the Young Furniture Makers exhibition

Our annual Young Furniture Makers exhibition is an exciting forum for students of all levels – from GCSE through to post graduate and young professional – to show their work to top industry companies. Numerous awards and prizes are presented, including our Young Furniture Makers Bespoke, Design and Innovation Awards, School Design Prizes, industry partnership awards, and the Blum Best in Show Prize.

All students are welcome to join our Young Furniture Makers group. It’s free and gives them the opportunity to access our members, network and learn on our dedicated Facebook page, and get involved in the events and seminars created especially for them.

Young Furniture Makers exhibition 2019

The Young Furniture Makers exhibition returns to the City of London for one day only this October, offering industry the opportunity to connect with young, creative designer-makers, who are looking to make an impact on the sector.

Sponsored by Axminster Tools & Machinery and supported by Celtheath, The January Furniture Show and The Furniture Ombudsman, the event showcases the very best furniture and furnishing design talent from GCSE students to young professionals.

Doors to the exhibition will open at 12.00pm on Wednesday 9 October. Dids Macdonald OBE, Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, will officially welcome guests from across the furnishing and design sector at 7.00pm before a prize giving.
