We are delighted to welcome six new freemen to The Furniture Makers’ Company.

The admission ceremony took place at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London on 19 December 2017.

The new freemen are:

 

Levent Caglar

Levent Caglar has been head of the ergonomics department at FIRA since 1990. Levent completed a BSc in Engineering before completing an MSc in Ergonomics at University College London.

 

Lynne Davison

Lynne is a project manager for Ernst & Young and is responsible for fitting out Ernst & Young offices.

 

Simon Hewitt

Managing director of Litmus Furniture, Simon started his career in marketing before moving across to Litmus Furniture. Litmus is the sole distributor of Wiemann Furniture in the UK and Ireland.

 

Mark Hughes

Mark Hughes has held a number of roles in the furnishing industry since starting at DFS.

 

Richard Morey

Richard is the Managing Director of Media 10 publishing. Richard launched the Design & Decoration awards and was heavily involved in Media 10 and Channel 4’s joint plans including the launch of Grand Designs Magazine and Grand Designs Live. Over the past few years, Richard has been instrumental in the growth of Media 10 both in the UK and overseas – with successes being driven by his unique, affable approach to staff, suppliers and venues alike.

 

Simon Pengelly

Simon Pengelly set up his studio in 1993 having graduated from Rycotewood College. Simon currently holds seven Design Guild Marks. He first cut his teeth as a professional designer at Conran Design Group, moving on to Habitat’s design team in 1990.
