Jonathan Hindle, Past Master of the Furniture Makers and group managing director of corporate member KI Europe, has been appointed as chairman of Broad Street Ward Club for 2018-19.

Jonathan officially took up the position at the Broad Street Ward Club’s 41st Annual General Meeting, which was held on 28 February at Furniture Makers’ Hall. He has taken over from former chairman Neil Hitchens.

He said that he was looking forward to his year and, in outlining briefly his programme, spoke especially about some of the arts-based events, reflecting his family’s particular interest in this aspect.

Jonathan will be supported by deputy chairman Nigel Mattinson of Grant Thornton and a former treasurer of the club, Michael Kemsley as honorary treasurer and Judith Rich as honorary secretary, together with David Herbert, James Nisbet, Lisa Preuveneers, Sarah Sturrock and Roger Walsh as his committee.

Broad Street Ward is one of 25 Wards in the City of London. It is situated in the heart of the City and contains six Livery Companies within its boundaries – the Worshipful Company of Carpenters, the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, the Worshipful Company of Drapers, the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and the Worshipful Company of Plumbers.
