Corporate member celebrates 25th anniversary with expansion
Corporate member Designer Contracts, the UK’s largest flooring contractor, is to open three new regional facilities across the country and announced two senior promotions within the business.
Opening to meet increased demand for its services, the new facilities in Yorkshire, Kent and East Anglia, will be operational by Spring and represent a significant milestone for the company in its 25th year of business.
To support the expansion, the company has promoted Louise Walters, who has worked with the company for 14 years, to merchandise and marketing director and Gary Tynan to divisional director.
Gary will continue to oversee the smooth running of the Southern, Thames Medway, Thames Valley and South East and will also look after the new Kent and East Anglia regions.
Louise will continue to head up the company’s buying team as well as handle all marketing.
Said Designer Contracts md, Peter Kelsey: “As we celebrate the company’s 25th year, it’s a significant achievement to be opening a further three regions and promoting two incredibly loyal members of the team.
“The new regions will take our number of divisional centres to 15, in locations that best serve the demand from our customer.”
Designer Contracts operates across 15 UK regional facilities. As well as curtain and blind packs, the company provides furniture and lighting packs and operates a showhome design division. The company is also the UK’s largest provider of floorcoverings to the new build sector.
