The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity to the furnishing industry, is thrilled to welcome foam manufacturer The Vita Group as a corporate member.

Corporate membership provides opportunities for companies to support the Company’s charitable activities, get involved with civic events and network with other members.

As a corporate member, The Vita Group can nominate up to three senior executives to become corporate liverymen. Andy Corbett, commercial director (UK); Richard Page, managing director (UK); and Greg Flynn, sales director (UK), will be formally admitted as corporate liverymen at a ceremony at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London when circumstances allow.

Andy Corbett, The Vita Group’s prime corporate liveryman, said: “The Vita Group is excited to be admitted as a corporate member of The Furniture Makers’ Company. We have always supported The Furniture Makers’ Company through student tours and attending Furniture Maker events, and we are very happy to extend that support further through corporate membership.

“Our association with furniture and bedding started in Oldham in 1949 where we manufactured Latex, later moving into manufacturing and converting polyurethane foam. Vita’s proactive innovations assist our customers to exceed the demands of the current marketplace with the development of brands such as Origin, ‘environmentally enhanced foam’, and FRee, a new generation of FR foams. Our products create comfort, deliver performance and enhance everyday life in 15 countries.”

David Woodward, Master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “We are very pleased to welcome The Vita Group as a corporate member and specifically Andy, Richard and Greg as corporate liverymen. We look forward to receiving them at a formal ceremony at Furniture Makers’ Hall.

“Our corporate members are of the greatest importance to us. We are delighted that so many different companies from the wider furnishing industry understand the importance of joining as members and supporting our charitable endeavours. All members, individual or corporate, are invited to participate in the many events in the city livery calendar, which are great for networking, entertaining, as well as having fun.”
