Installation Ceremony and Dinner

We’re delighted to invite you to the Installation of our new Master, Jessica Alexander, which will be held on Monday 11 May.  As last year, the Installation Ceremony will be held at the Mansion House and will be followed by our Installation Dinner in the Egyptian Room. 

I am delighted to confirm that your Company, a Corporate Member of the Furniture Makers’ Company, has been allocated three tickets for the Installation Dinner, at no cost.  We do hope that you will be able to use these free places for yourself and your fellow Corporate Liverymen.  If one or more of your colleagues is unable to come, please do use it or them for your guests.  If you would like additional tickets, these are available and you are most welcome to bring partners and of course your business or personal guests.  It would be very helpful if you would complete the enclosed application form – the first three names are free!

This is the most important event in the Company’s year and we are grateful to the Lady Mayor, Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley, for giving us permission to dine at the Mansion House. 

The dinner is a fantastic opportunity to meet friends and colleagues from within the industry as well as to enjoy the location and the ceremony.  We will be presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the dinner.

The Installation Ceremony will be held at 6.00pm at the Mansion House during which I will have the pleasure of installing Jessica Alexander, the current senior warden, as the new Master. Alistair Gough will be installed as the new senior warden and Donna Bellingham as junior warden. The short ceremony is a memorable and enjoyable part of the evening but, as last year, limited space will be available and a ballot for tickets will take place.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception and dinner, which starts at 6.20pm. The dinner will be finished by 9.45pm for those who want to get away, but there will be a stirrup cup for those who would like to enjoy the evening a little longer.

The invitation to both the Installation ceremony and the Installation Dinner is open to all freemen, liverymen and corporates, together with your spouses, partners, and your business and personal guests. Please use the attached application form and come to what is always a memorable evening. The dinner is very popular so book early to avoid disappointment.
