The Sky Wardrobe and Dressing Room awarded a Bespoke Guild Mark
We are delighted to announce that The Sky Wardrobe and Dressing Room, designed by London-based interior design studio Taylor Howes and crafted by Lanserring, has been awarded a prestigious Bespoke Guild Mark.
The Bespoke Guild Mark is the ultimate accolade for designer-makers in Britain, recognising excellence in design, materials, craftsmanship and function. Since its establishment in 1958, it has celebrated the very best of bespoke furniture and fitted furniture, honouring pieces that demonstrate the highest standards of skill and creative vision. The Sky Wardrobe and Dressing Room is the 503rd piece to be awarded a Bespoke Guild Mark.
Conceived by Taylor Howes and meticulously made by Lanserring, the suite is defined by soft, continuous joinery that integrates a dressing table, fitted bench, and headboard into a single harmonious architectural composition. Solid and veneered Oak and Ash – stained and oiled with 0% VOC natural pigments – were selected for their durability and understated elegance.

Richly finished oak surfaces meet electrically patinated, dry-mitre brass frames, which trace and elevate bespoke fabric-laminated glass and hand-finished joinery. Solid oak drawers are finger-jointed and lined with Novasuede-wrapped dividers, offering a refined tactile experience, while the triptych mirror is engineered with exacting tolerances, incorporating handmade analogue door restrictors and custom patinated glazed door hinges.
Though highly intricate in construction – featuring concealed wall anchors, integrated double sockets in drawers, shelving niches and bifold wardrobe doors – the suite feels serene and effortless. A custom sky mural wallpaper flows seamlessly across walls and cabinetry, requiring meticulous pattern alignment and contributing to an atmosphere of boundless calm.
Lucinda Quirk, associate director at Taylor Howes, said: “The Sky Wardrobe and Dressing Room is a true celebration of craftsmanship and design integrity. Our intention was to create a space that is not only deeply functional but emotionally resonant. A sanctuary where every detail contributes to a sense of calm and effortless elegance. This Guild Mark recognition is an incredible honour and a testament to the power of collaboration between thoughtful design and exceptional making. We are proud to have partnered with Lanserring to bring this vision to life, and to see our shared commitment to excellence acknowledged in this way.”
Daniel Hopwood, Bespoke Guild Mark chairman, said: “The Sky Wardrobe and walk-in Dressing Room is an extraordinary example of contemporary fitted furniture, epitomising the values upheld by the Bespoke Guild Mark. The project represents hundreds of hours of precise design and masterful craftsmanship, forming a holistic and immersive scheme within the Principal Bedroom of a private residence.”
