Karen Stevenson back in the North West chair

We are delighted to announce that Karen Stevenson is taking over as chairman of our North West Region.

Karen, who recently retired as head of human resources and executive assistant at contract fabric business Panaz, succeeds Mark McCann, managing director of Cavendish Upholstery.

Karen has been a freeman of the Company since 2016, but her involvement with us goes back much further as she was the North West Region’s chairman when it was first established in 2013.

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO at The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “We’d like to thank Mark for everything he has done while being chairman of the region.  Karen is an excellent person to build on what has already been achieved in the North West, and we look forward to working with her to help develop the region.”

Karen said: “It is great to be back in the seat of North West chairman and a pleasure to be working with North West committee members.  Social event planning is beginning to take shape and so far, we are looking to hold a CEO get together for a wine and cheese evening, a curry night and Northern Big Shots, which takes place on 22 September.”
