Inspired by the surrounds of Ringstead Beach, the Ringstead lounge chair and footstool is a versatile homage to designer Charlie Fowler’s childhood spent on the beautiful Dorset shoreline.
Conceived as a chair from which to embrace and enjoy the views of the Jurassic Coastline (as the Dorset Coast is called due to its abundance of fossils from the Jurassic period), the chair and footstool are made of solid wood oak or ash, with wide arms for extra comfort and a leather slung seat back and base.
Charlie Fowler founded his studio in Bristol in 2018 with a focus on creating quietly purposeful furniture, rooted in simplicity, material honesty, and thoughtful details. His aim is for each piece to combine clarity of form with subtle charm — objects designed to enhance everyday life and endure.
