The Mindflow chair offers a simple, practical solution to enhance focus and learning, particularly for individuals with special educational needs and ADHD. Research has shown that a gentle rocking motion can have calming and focus-enhancing effects on individuals who struggle with self-regulation. The Rocking motion stimulates the vestibular system, which is critical for balance and spatial orientation, fostering a sense of calm and improving the ability to process information effectively. The chair was designed to appear familiar, inviting, and distinctly more premium than the typical school or institutional chair.
Charlie Fowler founded his studio in Bristol in 2018 with a focus on creating quietly purposeful furniture, rooted in simplicity, material honesty, and thoughtful details. His aim is for each piece to combine clarity of form with subtle charm — objects designed to enhance everyday life and endure.
