Cotswolds Magical Mystery Tour

Join us for a self driven tour of the Cotswolds to a mystery destination. On arrival you will receive a map book containing step by step instructions which will take you on a pleasant 80 mile tour to a spectacular destination which is opening early for our visit.  We will have a designated parking area and full access to the beautiful gardens before the normal opening time of 2.00 pm.  When fully open there is a tea shop and rather good ice cream on sale!   This is a self catered lunch so please bring a picnic and chairs.   If the weather is unkind we will have access to a marquee alongside the tea shop.

The start location, near Stow on the Wold, is an award winning café.  We have not included breakfast in the cost as anyone staying locally will probably have this included in their accommodation.   The café is opening early for us at 9am so you can enjoy breakfast or just a drink.

We will hold a short briefing at around 9.45 am. The first car will be sent on its way at 10 ish and thereafter at regular intervals.  We hope to get everyone away by 11.00 am so that all have arrived at the venue by 1.00 pm.   

It is very important to note that this is not a competitive event, there is no timing and no prize for finishing ahead of anyone who left before you.  We would recommend that you check your cover with your insurers.  

The cost for a car is £30 regardless of the number of occupants, this includes your map book, entrance to the venue including the House which has a significant art collection and a donation to the Charity.

There will be a sealed envelope in your book that will contain the destination address, un-opened envelopes will be included in a raffle for a bottle of bubbly…..

Please include the number of occupants and, if possible, whether you intend to have breakfast at the café. There is no commitment, but they have asked for rough indication of numbers to be sure that they are efficient!

We will check the route nearer to the date and send joining instructions, including how to use a “Tulip” map, just after the Installation of the new Master.
