The tenth annual Yorkshire Curry Night, organised by our Yorkshire Region, raised £2,900.

The anniversary event took place on Thursday 26 February 2026 at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, welcoming more than 100 guests from across the UK furniture and furnishing industry.

Guests enjoyed a lively evening of networking and camaraderie which began in the impressive Tournament Gallery where the suit of armour made for Henry VII for his meeting with the King of France at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520 is on display and was followed by a delicious curry meal. while indulging in a delicious selection of curries.

The Furniture Makers’ Company would like to extend its thanks to Jay-Be and Litmus Furniture for generously sponsoring the drinks reception, as well as to all the companies and individuals who sponsored the event or donated prizes for the raffle, helping to make the tenth anniversary Curry Night such a success.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and new supporters come together to celebrate, network, and raise funds for such an important cause.”

The Furniture Makers’ Company operates nine regional committees across the UK – East of England, Midlands, North East, North West, Yorkshire, South West, South East, Southern, and the newly established Wales Region. Each committee hosts a programme of fundraising and networking events throughout the year, welcoming both members and non-members to support the charity’s work and the future of the furnishing industry.
