Furniture Makers’ Hall wins Flowers in the City award
Furniture Makers’ Hall has been awarded the Dick Balfour Trophy for Best Small Display 2025, recognising its exceptional contribution to the beauty of the City of London.
The award, part of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners’ ‘Flowers in the City’ initiative, celebrates excellence in horticultural displays that enhance the urban environment.
Judges praised the hall for the ‘exceptional care and creativity’ of its planting, which has made a notable contribution to the visual appeal of the City.
The award was formally presented to Hayden Davies, Past Master and chairman of Furniture Makers’ Hall, at a ceremony at Mansion House on Monday 17 October 2025, led by the Lady Mayoress and Master Gardener Robert Howard.


After the presentation, winners and guests enjoyeda buffet lunch at The Fullers TokenHouse, Moorgate, providing an opportunity to celebrate with fellow award recipients and judges.
Hayden Davies, Past Master and chairman of Furniture Makers’ Hall , said: “It’s an honour for Furniture Makers’ Hall to receive this recognition from the Worshipful Company of Gardeners. The award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the care and creativity that go into making the City such an attractive place to work and visit.”
