Light Mass^

The LightMass^ sculptural lighting collection features single-material structures designed to enrich interiors with a delicate, feather-like presence while minimizing environmental impact. Inspired by the looping framework of Victorian greenhouses, each piece is large in volume yet light in weight. Created using additive manufacturing, filaments are fused into intricate, airy mesh surfaces and stitched together like fabric to form voluminous, three-dimensional forms. With modern LED technology removing the need for traditional shades, LightMass^ redefines the light shade—interacting with beams rather than diffusing them. When off, they appear as floating line drawings; when illuminated, they glow with soft translucency. Designed and made in Hackney, London, the collection uses a durable, 100% renewable PLA-biopolymer. The open mesh design and FDM process eliminate waste and reduce material use.
