Fundraising for us

The funds you help us raise make a big impact on the lives of people we support.

Our charity was set up over 100 years ago to help people from the furnishing industry at times of difficulty or hardship. Today we also encourage new talent with our extensive education programme to support school children, students and young professionals, and we inspire excellence through our Guild Marks and other awards.

We welcome your support on all of our fundraising initiatives, from our annual events to specific campaigns. Your donations go a long way to helping us achieve our objectives.

Charity events

By engaging your staff in fun charity events and supporting them in sporting challenges your company can benefit from a wide range of benefits including

• Boosting staff morale
• Encouraging team building
• Staff personal and professional development
• Discovering hidden talents
• Generating positive local and national PR opportunities
• Demonstrating your company values and commitment to your customers, employees and local community on an issue that affects their lives

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving means your employees can donate tax-free to The Furniture Makers’ Company through their pay packet. It’s very simple to set up the direct debit, and Gift Aid means the amount and impact of their gift is increased.

Giving in memory

Giving a gift in memory is a wonderful way to remember someone you care about. It honours their memory while providing a better future for others.

Your gift will be deeply appreciated by The Furniture Makers’ Company as it will help us to support and educate the next generation and to provide vital services to help people at times of need with welfare grants.

The gift may be an individual donation or the proceeds from a collection made in someone’s memory. If you would like to name a prize or scholarship in someone’s memory please contact us.
