Student Industrial Tour

Student Industrial Tour

About the Student Industrial Tour

Our annual Student Industrial Tour enables college and university students to visit some of the country’s leading furnishing businesses. Open to students of any furnishing related course, at any higher education level, the group is always diverse and allows students to meet and socialise with people from different background who all share the same passion.

Hosted in the North West of England, the three day Student Industrial Tour takes students around a number of local furniture businesses to give them a broad insight into how the industry operates. Visits, accompanied by talks from our corporate members, ensures a jam packed time table which helps to shed light on topics ranging from research and development through to manufacturing, marketing and sales. This rounded view helps students see a side of the industry that may not be presented to them through their studies.

Not only do students get to see inside factories, design offices and retailers, they also have the chance to meet and socialise with other students who share the same passion! Fun nights out in the city help everyone to bond and contribute to making the tour truly unforgettable.

If you’re a second year student and want to be considered for the tour, get in touch with your head tutor and enquire.
